It’s been very chilly here in the Bay Area….and when it’s
chilly, we just want to stay home in front of the fire place. Then we thought,
hey, why not host a hot pot party?
Hot pot refers to several East Asian varieties of stew, consisting of a
simmering metal pot of stock at the center of the dining table. While the hot
pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at
the table. It’s a great way to get your guests involved because they get to
cook their own food!
It’s lots of fun, super healthy and extremely easy! Make
sure you have the right cookware, such as hot pot where it can be purchased at
most Asian grocery stores.
For our hot pot party, here are the menu items:
Dipping Sauce: made of soy sauce, satay sauce, eggs, hot
sauce, cilantro and ginger. (Super delicious!)
Hot Pot Broth: made of chicken broth with chopped tomato
(Super healthy!)
