Celebrated in Asia for more than 1,000 years, the 29th Annual Autumn Moon Festival will be held in Chinatown over two days of nonstop entertainment, food, shopping, dragon parades, cultural events, children's activities & more, along historic Grant Avenue.

Stanford New Hospital Open House

This is absolutely exciting to the community in the Peninsula!

The new Stanford Hospital will officially open its doors to patients later this fall. And on September  14 and 15, the community can get a sneak peek of what this amazing hospital has to offer. One will get to experience a health and wellness-inspired street fair with food trucks and family activities.

The new Stanford Hospital will officially open its doors to patients in late fall, but on Sept. 14 and 15, local residents can get a sneak peek as part of a two-day community open house featuring a multimedia experience and a health- and wellness-inspired street fair with food trucks and family activities.

Mid-Week Splurge

When weekend is not here fast enough, we like to indulge ourselves with great food and wine to make the rest of the week days more enjoyable. Of course we picked Viognier Restaurant in Downtown San Mateo!

It’s relaxing dining room features plush booths, a cozy fireplace, and a blazing wood-fired brick oven.

It’s always nice and quiet here and we can truly enjoy each other’s company in the presence of great food and wine.

When you dine at their dining room, you will need to select their prefix menu and that’s what we opted for. We also decided to do wine pairing with our food which truly brought out the essence of each dish.

The vibe is chic and airy…when you step inside, and you’ll find yourself outside. The spacious outdoor space is lined with comfy sofas and ottomans and surrounded by high tech heat lamps. That space flows into the outdoor-indoor bar, which flows into the restaurant, Cool lighting fixtures and decorations are everywhere.

It's a great place particularly on weeknight evenings.

The Biggest Mimosa Ever!

We were out for brunch at the Field Club and we ordered bloody and bottomless mimosa. Oh boy, it’s the biggest mimosa we have ever seen! It’s like in a beer glass (not that we are complaining).

The food is really delicious as well. We loved the egg benedicts. It’s got a cool masculine vibe to it.

Happiness in a Bite

Dianda’s Bakery located in the heart of the Mission District of San Francisco, is a purveyor of classic Italian pastries. This place has been around since the 60’s and brings northern Italy to the Bay Area! It’s a place where you see your neibhoters hang out and if you are watching what you eat, you can purchase the “mini” version and enjoy with a glass of red wine!

Their goal, bring a taste of Italy to San Francisco, their new home. The Dianda's raised three sons, who carried their legacy forward expanding the business to two Bay Area locations, supplying beloved baked goods to people across the Bay.

Long Potstickers

We were craving for long potstickers ….most of the places you go to are the regular shaped potstickers. For some reason, long potstickers just taste differently…..

We found long potstickers at Joy Restaurant in Foster City, and of course when you are there, you have to order crab, egg and shredded port stir fried rice, braised pork and etc etc etc!!!

Comedy Night at Angelicas

We love to come to Angelicas! It’s a place where you can enjoy great food and watch live performance! Their event calendar is filled with various entertainments and it’s different every night.

We started the night with their happy hour at the bar.

It’s truly the only place on the Peninsula where you can enjoy fine dining with entertainment, a full bar, original live music, dance, and shows in downtown Redwood City.

Just Because….

We were out for happy hour after a long hard work week and while sitting at the bar, Michael pulled out a box and gave to Gigi…can you guess where he got the bracelet from? It sure was a nice surprise!

Rustic Fine Dining

We stopped by Farm House on a Saturday and we loved our time there!

Farm House is a small and casual restaurant located in Belmont close to residential homes. It feels like we’ve been invited to dine at someone’s house! They have a dog-friendly patio so it’s prefect for a sunny afternoon.

Their New American menu is inspirational and diverse. We had an opportunity to speak with the chef and we felt his passion for the unique menu he and his team had created. Their menu changes seasonally so one can experience a variety of food with the freshest ingredients. We also enjoyed a diverse selection of beer and wine to pair with our dishes.

For starters, we ordered Celery Root Penna Cota Ensalata. It was surprising to experience white bean pate which was extremely delicious!

For lunch we ordered Duck Confit sandwich. It had the perfect balance of pear chevre spread with almonds. As for Tuna Salad sandwich, there were a generous portion of chunks of ahi tuna confit on a fresh toasted lobster roll.

Farm House is a small and casual restaurant located in Belmont, California with a dog-friendly patio. Our New American menu pulls inspiration from our diverse backgrounds and culinary training, which gives us the flexibility to have unique menu selections with a bold collaboration of flavors.

Luxury Condo in Belmont

The Ashton in Belmont is a new luxury condominium community located on El Camino Real in Belmont. We were there few days ago to tour the model homes. Unfortunately the agent was by himself and he was with another client so we did not get a chance to tour.


We did get a glimpse of the gym and it was nice and bright. In addition, The Asthon is a 73-residence community includes two four-story residential buildings as well as a separate, one-story, approximately 4,900-square-foot retail center right next to it. We did see a sign which indicated “Retail space available for restaurants”. It would be super cool if there is another nice restaurant addition to Belmont!


We did get a price sheet and price ranged from $700,000 to the $1,300,000. We highly recommend if people are interested in viewing, they should schedule an appointment ahead of time.
