Experience Exquisite Dining in Downtown San Mateo

Viogner in Downtown San Mateo is one of our favorites when we are in the mood for fine dining with wine pairing and awesome service!

The restaurant is located in the famed Draegers market and is a super open, spacious dining room that overlooks fourth street, cooking classes, and the market. There is an inviting fireplace which is coveted by many dinners.

There were 2 options on the menu: 3 course tasting vs the full tasting is about 7 courses: the plates were carefully assembled, incredibly flavorful and well balanced with eye catching presentation.

We started with amuse bouche and oh boy, we can eat 10 of that. So incredibly fresh and delicious.

The rest of the dining experience was filled with anticipation, excitement and satisfaction. Each wine were paired perfectly with the meal, a truly complement to each other.

We highly recommend give this restaurant a try as you will not disappoint!

The Bee Flight-Champagne Tasting at Epic Steak

We met some clients in San Francisco and decided to stop by Epic Steak. When we were browsing the wine menu, something caught our eyes! It’s sparking varietal with essence of honey.
The tasting comes with 3 glasses of generous champagne and each truly has a unique honey essence to it, especially the avocado blossom!

And of course that since we were there, we needed to try some other food and enjoy the spectacular view!

Touring Flintstone Home, Where is Fred and Wilma?

We were so fortunate to have the opportunity to tour the famous “Flintstone Home” in Hillsborough!

We felt like we were little kids at Disney Land and there were endless visual stimulation and excitement throughout our tour!

We were greeted by the “Flintstone” mail box:

Thus entering the “Flintstone” house:

Snapshot of the cavy bedroom and bathroom (love the “dinosaur in the bathtub):

Exquisite design and lovely art throughout the house:

The kitchen is where we can picture ourselves making “Flintstone” steak:

Ah ha! Finally, we found Fred!!! But where is Wilma???

It is now for available on AirBNB for $750 at night!
Whoever rents this spectacular home will truly enjoy it as much as we did in the short 1 hour that we were there.

Day Trip to Half Moon Bay

Every time we go to Half Moon Bay, we feel like we are on vacation…even though we are just there for few hours. It’s a nice drive to the coast, we especially love the new Devil’s Slide Tunnel.
We are always fascinated when we pass the WW II Military Bunker. http://www.mercurynews.com/aha/ci_29156986/devils-slide-military-bunker-ghostly-reminder-world-war

Once we arrived in HMB, we went brunching, fishing. Truly a very relaxing weekend day trip get away!

The restaurant has a bright cheery atmosphere and there is a gigantic fish tank display which juxtapose well with the Bay Bridge!

It’s a great place for brunch on the weekend or a great date night place for a romantic evening.

A Nice Surprise-San Francisco Ballet

If you want to impress your significant other, surprise that person with San Francisco Ballet! Michael took me to the city and he said he had a surprise for me and that was the sweetest surprise ever! Knowing he’s not a fan of ballet and he endured to sit next to me for hours watching ballet.

And of course, after ballet, we went across the street to the W Hotel and it was nice for Michael to do his thing! It’s only fair, right?

Endless Dim Sum

Bay Area has some of the best dim sums you can ask for! And we are regulars at China Village in Belmont.

The best part about dim sum is you don’t have to wait to eat your food. There are plenty of food that is ready to be tasted instantly as you sit at your table!

On this particular Sunday, we had 10 plates on our table within 5 minutes of arrival and each dish were DELICIOUS!

Bubbles and Chocolate

One of the best combination in life is bubbles and chocolate and we found this combo at Bubbly Bar (Timothy Adams Chocolates) in Palo Alto!

As you step into this beautifully space, you are immediately welcomed by the colorful décor with elegant touches throughout. A well displaced space filled with aromatic chocolate!
There are various options of bubbles, wines and even sweet sips!

We wanted to try to Mary Elke Brut and we also ordered a variety of different chocolate to share.

It’s truly a place of simple elegance with a city flare!
